I don't have a separate R18 feed and i have yet to implement any kind of age gating on my site so i'm not putting it there yet, but look, we're all adults here. If you're reading this i'm just going to assume you know what Strawberry Jam is. It's that horny, kinky, majority furry game jam that runs in february.

I had this idea for a couple years that i thought i would finally pull the trigger on this time, because i failed to get something out the past couple times and thought this one would be manageable in scope, and also the idea sounded unique and like it would really resonate well with some of the weirder perverts in that community. (I'm talking about me)

lol, lmao. in the end i was kind of right about the scope.

So the idea for it was something that i thought would be enhanced by features like the dualsense's haptics, touchpad and LED (two things also on the DS4 from a fucking decade ago!) and adaptive triggers, none of which are really supported by any game engines at the present time. You can sorta kinda get audio playing through the haptics in a Godot game, with some dicking about from the user to switch and configure their primary audio device. Not acceptable, imo. This made me decide to build it in SDL3 through some Zig bindings that someone had helpfully made. Ultimately, this version i worked on off and on until February 26, when a showstopping issue i spent all day trying to fix had left me dead in the water, and there was simply no way i was going to finish with the time i had left.

I ended the day pretty dejected, but woke up to a random, very nice message from my lovely goatfriend that left me with the renewed determination to go absolutely stupid mode and make a last-ditch effort to rebuild the concept from the ground up in Godot, an engine which i'm very familiar with by this point, and simply a whole lot easier to work with in the first place.

So no touchpad, and the amount of tuning i got to do and the number of interactions i was able to code in even with what is expected to exist on every gamepad had to be scaled back significantly—- but hey, i shipped it in time, motherfuckers. That was a crazy sprint. I genuinely could not have done it a year or two ago, which feels pretty cool. Special mention to the Sonic Frontiers Cyber Space OST on shuffle practically the entire time, for setting the mood.

So if you're seeing this, i have something special for you that i spent a couple evenings working on. it's a page containing all the Forbidden Posts™ of cohost that i could find.

What's a Forbidden Post™, you ask? Simple: a bunch of posters there posted an image post, soon before the site went down, but not a normal image post: the image itself was hosted on their own websites. Thus, they could continue posting even after the site went read-only at the beginning of October.

i finished this page up a few weeks ago, and more recently did up an image to actually advertise it on my own Forbidden Post™, and waited... but no one did see it in the end. The reason why i didn't update my own Forbidden Post™ immediately is that first, i wanted to get a posting solution up and working that i could use to post art and things and make blog posts that would go to my RSS feed without having to directly edit the RSS file... but i still haven't gotten around to that! i'm directly editing my RSS right now! Oh well! To be fair, probably not much reason for anyone to be re-checking my old cohost after october 20th, especially when the image hadn't been updated in a while. But it's November now, it's officially been a full month without cohost and well, FWIW the majority of these haven't been updated in a while, if they have been at all after cohost's shutdown, but still. i personally think it's nice to have all this in one place to check on every now and again. this also technically means that the Forbidden Posts™ will have additional life, after cohost goes down entirely at the end of the year! i dunno how people would feel about that, though. i'm not entirely sure how i feel about it.
